Description Let’s Get Healthy – Give Each Other a Hand (High Five)
This project will seek to improve the awareness of the importance of handwashing and how handwashing can decrease the spread of germs, thus communicable illness. An education program on hand washing will be introduced to 4th and/or 5th graders at Madison Station Elementary school in Madison, Mississippi. Implementation and data collection of the project will last for approximately 6 months, August, 2006 to December, 2006. The success of the project will be examined by pre and post test scores and the number of absences due to communicable illness prior to the education handwashing program and then following the education handwashing program.
